HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs has received Team Bahrain Victorious' cyclist Damiano Caruso on the occasion of his visit to Bahrain. During the meeting, HH Shaikh Nasser hailed the unique results achieved by Damiano Caruso, who finished second in the Giro d'Italia tour. Moreover, HH Shaikh Nasser stressed that Damiano is among the pillars of Team Bahrain Victorious thanks to his enormous capabilities and performances. Furthermore, HH Shaikh Nasser expressed appreciation for the prominent efforts exerted by the team's cyclists and technical staff, thanks to which it achieved great results. Meanwhile, the Italian rider gifted HH Shaikh Nasser a souvenir. And he expressed utmost thanks and appreciation to HH Shaikh Nasser for his support to the team, underlining that HH's backing has enabled the team to top podiums in major events. more
His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs backed a campaign aimed at supporting Bahrain national football team during the the third round of 2022 FIFA World 2023 AFC Asian Cup qualifiers has been announced. Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) First Deputy Chairman, Head of the General Sports (GSA), His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, directed to launch the initiative under hashtag “#Al Ahmar Can Do It”. The Kingdom of Bahrain will host the remaining matchs of the third round of Group C during the period running from Thursday (May3) until June 15. HH Shaikh Nasser praised the directives of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad to support the national team in its to win more points and boost the qualification hopes. “The national squad which eye qualification to the FIFA World Cup, will need all support and solidarity against tough Asian teams”, said HH Shaikh Nasser. He expressed his confidence that all citizens, the sports community, the conventional and social media platforms would come out in force in support of the initiative under the hashtag “#Al Ahmar Can Do It”.more
His Majesty the King’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad took part in the FEI Endurance World Championship in Pisa, Italy. He led the Royal team jockeys Jaffer Mirza, Raed Mahmoud, Abdulrahman Al-Zayed and Manal Fakhrawi who competed in the 160 kilometre international race, which was held today, Saturday. He stressed the importance of the Royal Team’s participation, paying tribute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for his role in developing the equestrian sports in the Kingdom of Bahrain. He also lauded the keen interest of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to promote the Kingdom at major sports events and arenas in line with the 2030 Bahrain Economic Vision. He commended the Royal Team which took part in the championship, alongside 80 jockeys representing thirty-two countries from different countries in the world. “The Royal Team was able to compete strongly to achieve the best results in the tournament, alongside world champions “, said HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad, adding the Bahrain’s participation would be reviewed and evaluated. “Our focus will be on the upcoming participations in world championships, European races and others, especially the Windsor Championship”, he said, looking forward to achieving the team’s ambitious goals. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad withdrew before the fourth stage of the 160 kilometre international race, after his horse sustained an injury during the first three phases. HH Shaikh Nasser preferred to rest the horse instead of participating and complicating the injury. Al Zayed abd Mahmoud competed in the first stage and finished among the first jockeys but their horses could not pass the vet test at the end of the second phase. Jaffer Mirza fell from his horse which skidded during the fourth stage, which forced him to withdraw from the race. Manal Fakhrawi managed to complete five stages but was unable to participate in the last round even though she was in fourth place in the ranking, because the horse did not pass the veterinary examination before the sixth and final stage. UAE national team jockey Salem Al Ketbi won the World Endurance Championship title, followed by his compatriot Saeed Al Mansouri came in second place and the Chilean Fiyada Boni. more
Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS), HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, issued edict 2 for 2021 concerning ending of the work of the SCYS’ Coordination, Execution and Follow-up Committee (Estijaba). As per the edict, all the committee’s sport programmes shall be referred to the General Sport Authority (GSA) and implemented by its Board of Directors under the supervision of its Chairman. Edict 1 for 2018 concerning the formation of the Coordination, Execution and Follow-up Committee (Estijaba) and edict 1 for 2020 concerning the committee’s restructuring shall be repealed.more
National Security Advisor, Royal Guard Commander Major-General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, held a video call with the Royal Guard expedition, which succeeded a few days ago in reaching the peak of Mt Everest, the highest mountain summit in the world. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad exchanged with the royal Guard team congratulations on Eid Al Fitr, wishing everyone many happy returns. He took pride in the Royal Guard team’s efforts and strong determination to achieve the desired goal, which reflects the potential of Bahraini youth to overcome all difficulties and honour the Kingdom of Bahrain in international arenas. He said that His Majesty the King’s call with the expedition upon their success in reaching the Mt Everest peak was a catalyst for the team to continue honouring Bahrain, lauding the efforts of the Royal Guard affiliates. The Royal Guard team paid tribute to HM the King, saying that HM’s phone call will always motivate them to further achievements for the Kingdom of Bahrain. Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, has stressed the support accorded by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to empowering the youth and giving them full opportunity for training and gaining the needed experience to become leaders at Bahrain’s labour market. He pointed out that providing Bahraini youngsters with the opportunity for training and rehabilitation in the Information and Technology (IT) field will have a positive impact on the youth and the Bahraini labour market, being a varied and open market that has become a pioneering international model in attracting various companies and businesses. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, lauded the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Labour and Social Development and Huawei Technologies company within the framework of “Opportunities” programme. The agreement was signed by Minister of Labour and Social Development, Jamil bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, and Huawei Bahrain Executive Director, Jason Kao, in the presence of a number of ministers and senior officials. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa praised the agreement as a pioneering step in “Opportunities” programme to train the Bahraini youth. Being a major international company with a wealth of experience in the telecommunication field, HH Shaikh Nasser stressed that the company will play a key role in building a generation of Bahraini youngsters capable of dealing in depth with the telecommunication and IT industry, notably with the Kingdom of Bahrain and the world moving towards “digitalization” and the expansion of its use. He added the Bahraini youth will have an ideal training opportunity by Huawei Bahrain possesses a pioneering training method. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa affirmed the need for the Bahraini youth and entrepreneurs to take advantage of inspiring platforms aimed at equipping them with the needed knowledge and skills that are consistent with the requirements of the labour market. He described the “Opportunities” programme as a pioneering platform to enable companies and businessmen to reach and communicate with the best talents to explore their skills and capabilities in a practical way and within an accredited national programme that provides the youth with promising training opportunities. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa praised the tremendous efforts made by the Ministry of Labour and Social Development and the Ministry of Youth and Sport Affairs which resulted in signing the agreement with Huawei company to provide a line-up of training programmes that will contribute to the employment of the Bahraini youth.more
