His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, attended the ceremony organized by the Capital Governorate on the occasion of announcing Manama as the Capital of Young Arab Entrepreneurs for 2026, which was approved by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization “UNIDO”, in the presence of Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, the Minister of Youth Affairs, a number of officials and representatives of regional and international institutions concerned with entrepreneurship and youth empowerment. On the occasion, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad affirmed that the selection of Manama as the Capital of Young Arab Entrepreneurs, reflects the wise vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, which made the youth a key focus of comprehensive development and a strategic investment in Bahraini and Arab youth. His Highness also noted that the achievements in the field of entrepreneurship are the result of the continuous support and follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, whose guidance consolidated the Kingdom of Bahrain's status as a regional centre supporting innovation and entrepreneurial initiatives. The ceremony began with a keynote speech by Shaikh Khalid bin Humood Al Khalifa, Capital Governor, in which he affirmed that announcing Manama the Capital of Young Arab Entrepreneurs is an important milestone in the Kingdom of Bahrain's path towards consolidating its leading position in supporting innovation and empowering young people, and the result of integrated national efforts to build an advanced entrepreneurship system. He noted that this achievement reflects the leadership's vision to invest in young people and build an economy based on knowledge and creativity. His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad received the certificate accrediting Manama as the Capital of Arab Youth Entrepreneurs for 2026 from Dr. Hashim Hussein, Head of the UNIDO Investment and Technology Promotion Office in the Kingdom of Bahrain. His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, attended the third round of the fifth edition of the Bahrain Turf Series, held as part of the 14th race of the 2025–2026 season at the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club racecourse in Al Raffah, Sakhir. The event was also attended by His Highness Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Supreme Council for Environment, Deputy Chairman of the High Committee of the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club, and Member of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports. The race meeting was contested for the Cup of His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court and Chairman of the High Committee of the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club, in addition to the cups of His Highness’s sons: His Highness Shaikh Hamad bin Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Highness Shaikh Abdulla bin Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and His Highness Shaikh Salman bin Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. The programme also included Al Adiyat Cup, sponsored by Bareeq, Al Wasmiya Cup, sponsored by the National Bank of Bahrain, as part of the Bahrain Turf Series, alongside Al Adiyat Bahrain-Bred Cup and the Huntsman Cup. A number of Their Highnesses and Excellencies, members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of sponsoring entities, and a large audience attended the race meeting, which featured strong competition across the various races. Winners of the race cups were crowned, with His Highness Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa presenting the first-round trophy to the winning trainer Abdulla Kuwaiti, the fifth-round trophy to winning trainers Daniel and Claire Kubler, and the sixth-round trophy to His Highness Shaikh Sultan Al Deen bin Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa. As part of the Bahrain Turf Series, Usman Ahmed, Chief Executive Officer of the National Bank of Bahrain, presented Al Wasmiya Cup to the representative of the winning owner Think And Become, following the victory of the horse Another Baar, which won first place in the fifth round. Awards were also presented to the winning trainer and jockey. Ayoob Al Awadhi, Board Member and Acting Chief Executive Officer of Bareeq Al Retaj, presented Al Adiyat Cup to trainer George Scott after the Bahraini horse Phantom Flight, owned by Victorious Forever, claimed victory in the sixth round of the series. His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad opened the meeting with a speech, in which he praised the outstanding efforts made by His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad in ensuring the success of the 3rd Asian Youth Games, which were held in the Kingdom of Bahrain under the royal patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. The Minister of Youth Affairs, affirmed that youth empowerment committees are a platform for engaging Bahraini youth in developing the work environment and promoting institutional innovation, reflecting the vision of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports in empowering the new generation and giving them with the opportunity to present their innovative ideas and initiatives. She added that these committees improve the quality of services and enhance institutional performance, in line with the national objectives of building young competencies capable of creativity and achieving a tangible positive impact on society. Dr Jalila bint Al Sayed Jawad Hassan, Minister of Health, reviewed the efforts of the Youth Innovation and Excellence Committee at the Ministry, which was formed by Ministerial Decision 37 of 2025 dated November 23. The Minister explained that the committee aims to empower young people to actively participate in developing the work environment and promoting initiative and innovation, involving them in the decision-making process, in addition to building their capacities through training and continuous professional development programmes. She also noted the "Daem Al Shabab" (Youth Support) initiative for institutional accreditation, which awards an official label to entities that meet the criteria, reflecting their commitment to their responsibility towards young people and enhancing their institutional image. For his part, the Minister of Information, reviewed the ministry's efforts in establishing the Youth Innovation and Excellence Committee, highlighting the main areas of the Committee's work, which include developing training programmes, providing media support, organising public events, in addition to creating initiatives aimed at fostering a stimulating work environment for young people. The Minister explained that the committee aims to empower young people to actively participate in developing the work environment and promoting initiative and innovation, involving them in the decision-making process, in addition to building their capacities through training and continuous professional development programmes. She also noted the "Daem Al Shabab" (Youth Support) initiative for institutional accreditation, which awards an official label to entities that meet the criteria, reflecting their commitment to their responsibility towards young people and enhancing their institutional image. For his part, the Minister of Information, reviewed the ministry's efforts in establishing the Youth Innovation and Excellence Committee, highlighting the main areas of the Committee's work, which include developing training programmes, providing media support, organising public events, in addition to creating initiatives aimed at fostering a stimulating work environment for young people. The Minister also announced the launch of the Committee's ‘Creators Hub’ club for young influencers, which aims to promote youth participation in creating influential media content and supporting national discourse in an innovative youth language, thereby highlighting their media capabilities and innovations to the local and regional community. The meeting concluded with a presentation by Yousif bin Abdulhussain Khalaf, Minister of Labour and Minister of Legal Affairs, on analysing specialisations in the labour market for the coming year and beyond, in coordination with the Higher Education Council. His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad directed all relevant authorities to coordinate to prepare an annual report on the specialisations required, to be made available to the public through official channels and the media.more
His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, attended the National Day Endurance Cup, which was held as part of the National Day Endurance Ride Championship, organised by the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation at Bahrain International Village, with wide participation from riders and stables. The race was attended by Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah bin Ali Al Khalifa, the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates. His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa affirmed that the National Day Endurance Ride Championship, is an honourable example of Bahraini sports and strengthens the Kingdom's presence on the regional and international endurance sports map, thanks to the support of the leadership. His Highness added that endurance sport in the Kingdom of Bahrain is witnessing continuous development and achievements, as a result of institutional work and continuous support for riders and technical and organisational cadres. His Highness affirmed that the high levels achieved by Bahraini riders reflect the efforts made in preparing and qualifying them according to the highest standards. His Highness praised the high standards of the championship and the wide participation in the various races, congratulating the first place winners. The race witnessed fierce competition and high technical standards over a distance of 120 km among the riders, and was characterised by strength from the first stage to the last. At the end of the race, the winners of the National Day Endurance Cup were crowned in a festive atmosphere that reflected the joy of achievement. Team Victorious deservedly won the top three places after outstanding performances throughout the race, with Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa crowned champion. Emirati rider Aisha Badr Al Naqbi came in second, and rider Isa Hameed Al Anezi took third place.more
