Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander conveyed the condolences of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces to the family of the Bahraini woman who passed away as a result of Iran's hostile aggression, as His Highness offered his condolences to the family of the deceased. Colonel His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Commander of the Royal Guard’s Special Operations also offered his condolences. Their Highnesses were accompanied by Shaikh Khalid bin Humood Al Khalifa, Capital Governor. His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa offered his deepest condolences to the family of the deceased, praying to Allah Almighty to rest her soul in eternal paradise and grant her family patience and solace. His Highness affirmed the solidarity of the people of Bahrain with the family of the deceased, praying to Allah Almighty to protect the Kingdom of Bahrain and maintain its security and stability under the leadership of His Majesty the King.more
His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty’s Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, received the "Nasser Al Bina'a" team from Ibn Khuldoon National School as part of His Highness's keenness to support youth initiatives and promote volunteer work in the Kingdom of Bahrain. His Highness affirmed that the "Nasser Al Bina'a" project is a model of meaningful youth initiatives that reflect the spirit of giving and teamwork among Bahraini youth. His Highness pointed out that the community and humanitarian initiatives offered by the team embody the authentic values of the Bahraini society and confirms the ability of young people to serve and develop society. His Highness praised the efforts of the team in implementing volunteer projects that have a tangible positive impact on society, wishing them continued success. During the meeting, His Highness was briefed on the initiatives undertaken by the ‘Nasser Al Binaa’ team with the support and follow-up of the Nasser Al Khair Organisation. Among these initiatives are the restoration and maintenance of old houses, the development and equipping of educational facilities and centres for people with special needs, in addition to supporting small projects that empower individuals and create new opportunities for them. His Highness was briefed on the future plans and initiatives the team seeks to implement in the coming period, which aim to continue developing volunteer work in the Kingdom of Bahrain.more

As an extension of the royal approach to building houses of worship and spreading their spiritual message in society, and under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty’s Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs opened the Shaikha Nayla bint Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Mosque at Marah Al Hejin in the Southern Governorate, in the presence of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the General Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee. Also present were, His Highness Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Supreme Council for Environment, Deputy Chairman of the High Committee of the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club, and Member of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Retired Major General Shaikh Ahmed bin Salman bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Shaikh Dr. Rashid bin Mohammed bin Futais Al Hajri, Chairman of the Sunni Waqf Council, and a number of officials. His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa unveiled the mosque's commemorative plaque, then toured the mosque's facilities and reviewed the services it offers to worshippers. On the occasion, His Highness affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain's continued focus on building and renovating mosques during the prosperous reign of His Majesty the King, reflects the ongoing approach to spreading the values and teachings of Islam, which are based on moderation and tolerance and promoting fraternity in society. His Highness pointed out that mosques play a pivotal role in developing religious values, strengthening national unity, consolidating social cohesion, and building a cohesive society inspired by the principles of Islam. Hfs Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of Bapco Energies, appointed His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Bin Mubarak Bin Daina as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company B.S.C. (Closed) (GPIC). His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Bin Mubarak Bin Daina succeeds His Excellency Engineer Kamal bin Ahmed Mohamed who has served as the Chairman of GPIC since July 2022. His Highness expressed his appreciation to His Excellency Engineer Kamal bin Ahmed Mohamed for his valuable contributions and dedicated service and wished His Excellency Dr. Mohamed bin Mubarak Bindaina every success in his new role.more
His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation, affirmed that investing in people is the cornerstone of the humanitarian approach established by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, noting that the Foundation has translated this royal vision since its establishment 25 years ago. His Highness noted that the Foundation's approach embodies His Majesty the King's keenness to develop and empower people and promote the values of giving and community service, until it became a leading model for humanitarian work in Bahrain and abroad, and a reflection of the royal vision to serve the community. His Highness also praised the continued support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister by enhancing humanitarian work. This came on the occasion of His Highness's patronage of the ceremony celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation and announcing its initiatives for 2026, in the presence of Her Highness Shaikha Sheema bint Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Head of the Foundation's Humanitarian Volunteer Initiatives, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, a number of Their Excellencies, partners and supporters of the Foundation's initiatives, projects and programmes, as well as the Foundation's employees. His Highness affirmed that the Foundation is a school that has nurtured generations of citizens who have grown up with a spirit of goodwill, assumed leadership positions, and continued to serve the community. His Highness praised the efforts of the Foundation’s founding members, noting that their contributions laid the foundation for a path marked by generosity and excellence. His Highness also commended the spirit of community partnership of partners and supporters, which was reflected by their contributions and support of the Foundation’s initiatives over the years. His Highness prayed to Allah the Almighty to bless His Majesty the King with abundant health and happiness, and to reward His Majesty the King for the Foundation’s achievements over the past 25 years, for the lasting positive impact it has had on Bahraini society and beneficiaries inside and outside Bahrain. Ibrahim Dalhan Al Dosari, Acting Secretary-General of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation, delivered a speech in which he congratulated His Majesty the King on the occasion, and praised the efforts of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa in developing the Foundation's humanitarian work system. Al Dosari affirmed that the 25th anniversary celebration is a shining milestone in a journey full of humanitarian achievements, which began with a noble royal vision and continued with renewed generosity that keeps pace with the needs of society and looks to the future with responsibility and partnership. He noted that the next phase will focus on enhancing social impact, developing programmes and expanding strategic partnerships. The ceremony included the launch of this year’s slogan ‘‘25 years.. A humanitarian legacy”, which embodies the Foundation's journey and the profound and sustainable humanitarian impact it has made over a quarter of a century. The Foundation's initiatives for 2026 were announced by content creator Omar Farooq, which include three qualitative initiatives: the Safe Homes Initiative, the Balsam and Hope Initiative, and the Sustainable Social Impact Initiative, which includes the establishment of a specialised educational and rehabilitation centre for children with autism and learning difficulties. During the ceremony, partners and supporters were invited to support these initiatives, raising a total of BD 2,403,400. Contributions remain open to individuals and institutions wishing to support these humanitarian initiatives. At the conclusion of the ceremony, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa honoured the Foundation’s founders and members of the first Board of Trustees, as well as long-serving and outstanding employees who received awards for excellence in 2025. With the blessing of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Honorary President of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Foundation's Board of Trustees, issued a decision appointing Her Highness Shaikha Sheema bint Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa as Head of the Foundation's Humanitarian Volunteer Initiatives. His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa affirmed that the appointment of Her Highness Shaikha Sheema bint Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa as Head of Humanitarian Volunteer Initiatives comes within the framework of the Foundation's approach to enhance institutional volunteer work, develop qualitative and sustainable humanitarian initiatives, and integrate young and senior leaders with institutional field work. His Highness noted that this appointment reflects the Foundation's keenness to empower young national talent and support leadership competencies capable of innovation in humanitarian work. His Highness noted that in the coming period more comprehensive and organised volunteer initiatives will be launched, which will consolidate the values of giving and social responsibility. His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa delegated His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, to honour the winners of the fifth edition of the King Hamad Award for Youth Empowerment to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, in the presence of a number of ministers and senior officials. On the occasion, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa affirmed that the award has become a milestone and a pioneering international initiative, as the first award specifically dedicated to empowering youth in achieving sustainable development goals. His Highness noted that His Majesty the King's support for Bahraini and international youth has established the Kingdom of Bahrain as a global model for youth empowerment and strengthening their role in development paths. His Highness also praised the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in supporting all youth initiatives and ensuring the development of young cadres through various programmes. His Highness explained that youth participation in achieving sustainable development goals is a message of renewed hope and conscious responsibility towards the future, where young people have proven their ability to turn challenges into opportunities and offer innovative solutions and practical initiatives that have a tangible impact at the local and international levels, showcasing leadership, innovation and commitment to their communities and the world. His Highness also expressed appreciation to the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) for its effective strategic partnership, and to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for its continued support, which reflects the integration of national and international efforts in empowering the youth. Manal Fouani, UNDP Representative delivered a speech in which she expressed the programme's pride in participating in the award ceremony, praising the long-standing partnership with the Kingdom of Bahrain for nearly five decades in supporting institutional, economic, social and environmental development paths. She explained that since its launch in 2017, the award has embodied the Kingdom of Bahrain's commitment to empowering youth and aligning its efforts with the Sustainable Development Goals, highlighting the close cooperation with the Ministry of Youth Affairs to develop the award and strengthen its international presence, which has been reflected in its widespread global popularity.
