Her Highness Shaikha Sheema bint Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Head of Humanitarian Voluntary Initiatives at the Royal Humanitarian Foundation witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement with GFH Foundation, the charitable arm of GFH Bank, to support the “Reassured Homes” initiative implemented by the Humanitarian Volunteer Initiatives team “Sheyam Al Khair”, which aims to provide a more stable living environment for widows, orphans and underprivileged families across the Kingdom of Bahrain’s governorates. The agreement was signed on behalf of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation by Ibrahim Dalhan Al-Dosari, Acting Secretary-General of the Foundation, and on behalf of the GFH Foundation by Dr Mohamed Abdulsalam, Corporate Secretary at GFH. This is in line with the ‘Sheyam Al-Khair’ team and the Foundation’s drive to strengthen cooperation in implementing community and humanitarian initiatives that address the needs of beneficiary families and achieve a sustainable positive impact. On the occasion, Her Highness Shaikha Sheema bint Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa affirmed that institutional partnerships are one of the most important factors in the success and sustainability of humanitarian initiatives, explaining that cooperation with the Foundation reflects an effective model of joint action aimed at achieving a tangible social impact. Her Highness noted the commitment of the Humanitarian Volunteer Initiatives team “Sheyam Al Khair”, to build meaningful partnerships with national organisations that believe in the importance of social responsibility and its role in supporting humanitarian work. Her Highness expressed her sincere thanks and appreciation to GFH Foundation for supporting the initiative. Dr Mohamed Abdulsalam expressed his pride in this partnership with the “Sheyam Al Khair” team, emphasising that the Foundation attaches considerable importance to supporting initiatives that improve the quality of life of beneficiary families and promote community development. His Highness Shaikh Hamad bin Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa opened the Kingdom of Bahrain’s first public skating rink, a landmark project that adds to the Kingdom’s sports infrastructure and reflects the ongoing commitment to providing modern facilities that meet the aspirations of young people. This project has been implemented upon the directives of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty’s Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports. The project stems from His Highness’s commitment to support high-quality sporting initiatives and provide sports environments for young people, as well as create suitable spaces to discover talent, hone skills and strengthen their role in the Kingdom’s sporting development. The opening ceremony was attended by Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, Dr. Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar, Chief Executive Officer of the General Sports Authority and several officials. The rink is the first public facility dedicated to this sport in the Kingdom, providing a safe and well-equipped environment for skaters, particularly given the growing popularity of skating worldwide following its inclusion in the Olympic Games, which underscores the importance of providing specialised facilities that support the sport’s growth and help attract more people in Bahrain. The rink also serves as a cultural space that combines sport, creativity and community engagement, and helps to enhance quality of life by providing a variety of sporting and leisure options for young people, which supports healthy lifestyles and encourages community participation in sports activities. This project was implemented with the support and cooperation of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, the General Sports Authority, Infracorp and Premier Q, as part of efforts to develop modern sports and provide a stimulating environment for young people to pursue their hobbies and develop their skills. The opening of the rink is an important step in developing the sports sector in Bahrain and supporting sporting talent and increasing opportunities for young people, which cements the Kingdom’s position as an environment that supports sporting innovation and investment in young talent.more
His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty’s Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Nasser Centre for Science and Technology, affirmed that the Centre’s development of specialised educational pathways in line with future requirements reflects its commitment to building national talent equipped with the tools for excellence in the new knowledge economy. His Highness noted that empowering young people with knowledge and qualitative skills is a national investment that enhances their global competitiveness and supports sustainable development efforts, in line with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the continued support of the government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. This came during His Highness’s patronage of the graduation ceremony for the tenth cohort of students from the Nasser Centre for Science and Technology, in the presence of His Highness Shaikh Hamad bin Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa. The ceremony was attended by a number of ministers, senior officials and parents. The Centre celebrated the graduation of 179 students from specialised educational pathways, including engineering, technological innovation, sports and business management. His Highness explained that Bahraini youth are the most important national asset and the main driving force behind development efforts, affirming that the centre continues to fulfil its role in preparing qualified young talent who possess the knowledge and skills to compete and innovate in vital sectors. During the ceremony, Dr Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Nuaimi, CEO of the Nasser Center for Science and Technology, delivered a speech in which he noted that the graduation marks a significant milestone in the Centre’s record of achievements over the past decade, and reflects the leading position it established in quality education and training by offering pioneering regional programmes and specialisations, expanding its services to include professional training for individuals and organisations, as well as developing artificial intelligence solutions for organisations. He added that graduates of this cohort successfully obtained a number of internationally recognised certificates and accreditations in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, mechanical engineering, and electrical engineering, as well as sports and business administration, which reflects the success of these programmes in preparing qualified national talent in accordance with the highest academic standards and the requirements of rapidly evolving economic and technological sectors. He wished the graduates success in their professional and academic careers. The Nasser Centre for Science and Technology continues to develop its educational pathways and expand its partnerships with international academic and professional institutions, which reinforces the Kingdom of Bahrain’s position as a leading centre for quality and specialised education in the region. This provides students with greater opportunities to gain practical experience and professional qualifications that enhance their academic and technical readiness and help develop leaders capable of bringing about positive change across a range of disciplines.

Lieutenant General High Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander received Ambassador Michael Waltz, U.S. Representative to the United Nations, in the presence of Shaikh Khalid bin Ali bin Jaber Al Khalifa, Deputy National Security Adviser. During the meeting, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa affirmed the importance of continuing to strengthen international cooperation and intensifying joint efforts to address current challenges, to consolidate security and stability and support sustainable development at both regional and international levels. His Highness explained that the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA) between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States of America is an important pillar to build upon and enhance cooperation and coordination. The two sides also reviewed the cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States of America, discussed topics of mutual interest, exchanged views on regional and international developments. They also emphasised the importance of continuing coordination and consultation on various issues of mutual interest.more
His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Al Khalifa, His Majesty’s Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, affirmed that Gulf Youth Day, which falls on 6 June, is an important milestone in celebrating the significant achievements of the youth of the gulf, who have contributed to advancing development and cementing the GCC states’ position as a global model in empowering young people and investing in their potential. His Highness noted that these achievements are an extension of the wise visions of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Their Majesties and Highnesses, the leaders of the GCC states, who made the youth a key partner in shaping the future and a central focus of sustainable development plans. His Highness explained that the ongoing support afforded to Gulf youth by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, helped create an environment that supports and encourages creativity and innovation, and enabled young people to transform their ideas and aspirations into initiatives, projects and achievements with a tangible impact at various levels, particularly as the Kingdom of Bahrain has accorded young people great support and made them a top priority, by adopting initiatives and programmes that empower them, develop their capabilities and hone their skills, which strengthens their role as active partners in driving development. His Highness noted that Bahraini and Gulf youth have proven that success is not measured by the scale of the challenges they face, but by their determination, pointing out that the GCC’s younger generations possess a mindset that believes every obstacle presents an opportunity, and that every challenge offers a new avenue for achievement, and that the path to the future is not forged by waiting for ideal circumstances, but by creating opportunities from challenges. His Highness added that young people in the Gulf have not viewed global changes as constraints that hinder ambition, but rather as new avenues for innovation and development. His Highness noted that they succeeded in turning challenges into inspiring success stories, and ideas into impactful projects, and ambitions into achievements that leave a lasting impact, setting an advanced example in awareness, resilience and the ability to shape the future. His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty’s Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, participated in the 29th Lalla Meryem Cup, held at the Royal Golf Dar Es Salam in the Kingdom of Morocco. His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa met with His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, President of the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation and held cordial talks on the Lalla Meryem Cup which coincided with the 50th Hassan II Golf Trophy. His Highness led a team comprising Hamad Al Marrisi, Moulay Abdellah Benzidane and Italian professional Anna Zanusso. The team finished third in the tournament’s gross-8 in the PRO-AM category. His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa affirmed that the Lalla Meryem Cup succeeded in establishing itself as one of the premier tournaments in golf, praising the high standard witnessed during the competition and the distinguished international attendance. His Highness expressed his appreciation for the considerable efforts made by the organising committee and their commitment to ensuring the tournament was organised according to the highest standards. His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty’s Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, participated in the 50th Hassan II Golf Trophy, hosted by the Royal Golf Dar Es Salam in the Kingdom of Morocco. The tournament is held under the patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI of the Kingdom of Morocco, with the participation of an elite group of players. His Highness played alongside a team comprising Hamad Al Marrisi, Abdullah Binzidane and Scottish professional Colin Montgomerie. On the occasion, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa affirmed that the Hassan II Golf Trophy is one of the most prestigious golf tournaments, due to its outstanding organisation and significant international standing. His Highness praised the capabilities and advanced sporting infrastructure provided by the Kingdom of Morocco, which cemented the tournament’s global standing. His Highness explained that participating in such international tournaments is important opportunity to exchange expertise and strengthen sporting ties, as well as gain further experience in golf through international competitions. His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty’s Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, congratulated Muharraq Club on winning the Nasser bin Hamad Premier Football League for the 2025/2026 season. His Highness affirmed that Muharraq Club’s victory came as a result of the outstanding and consistent performances it delivered throughout the season, commending the role of the club’s board of directors, chaired by Shaikh Ahmed bin Ali Al Khalifa and the board members, as well as the efforts of the technical and administrative staff and the players. His Highness also commended the tremendous support of the fans, which motivated the players throughout the season. His Highness also commended the significant efforts made by the Bahrain Football Association, chaired by Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, praising the outstanding organisational and technical role of the Association and its working committees, which had a significant impact on the success of the season and its professional conduct, reflecting the development of sports in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander participated in the inauguration of the Alliance for Europe-Gulf Geopolitics and Investments Summit (AEGGIS) held in Greece until May 17th, 2026, at the official invitation of the Atlantic Council in collaboration with Antenna Group, with the participation of leaders, decision-makers, political and economic figures, and investors from the GCC and Europe. Present were, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy; Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa, Deputy National Security Advisor; and Shaikh Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Strategic Security Bureau. On the occasion, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and with the close follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, continues to consolidate its position as an influential strategic partner in supporting regional security and stability and strengthening international cooperation based on shared interests and comprehensive and sustainable development visions. Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor, Royal Guard Commander and Secretary-General of the Supreme Defence Council, participated in the virtual meeting of defence ministers on the multinational military mission in the Strait of Hormuz, at the invitation of the United Kingdom and the French Republic, with participation from more than 40 countries. During the meeting, participants discussed the latest security developments in the region and ways to strengthen joint international efforts aimed at supporting and securing freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, as well as mechanisms for coordination and cooperation among the countries participating in the multinational mission. The meeting also addressed the importance of enhancing the security of commercial and civilian vessels, supporting operations to protect shipping lanes, and carrying out maritime mine clearance operations, to ensure the smooth flow of international trade and the safety of maritime navigation, alongside supporting diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalation and strengthening regional and international stability, while calling for more countries to join in the future to contribute to these joint efforts and enhance the effectiveness of international maritime operations.more
