His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty’s Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, received a delegation from the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) delegation, upon their visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain as part of the U.S. Embassy's sports diplomacy programme, marking the 250th Anniversary of the Adoption of the Declaration of Independence. Stephanie Hallett, U.S. Ambassador to Bahrain, was present. His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa affirmed the importance of sports diplomacy in strengthening international relations, fostering closer ties between peoples, and increasing cooperation and the exchange of expertise. His Highness noted that Bahrain has cemented its global position in mixed martial arts, thanks to the ambitious vision of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the General Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, and his continuous efforts to develop the sport and nurture champions, to strengthen the Kingdom’s leadership and international presence. His Highness highlighted the importance of the UFC delegation’s visit and the opportunity it presents to develop partnerships with international sporting organisations and exchange expertise, which advances sporting development and strengthens mutual cooperation. *HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad qualifies for final round of 8th Bahrain Amateur Open Golf Championship*
His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, continued his participation in the 8th Bahrain Amateur Open Golf Championship, organised by the Bahrain Golf Association at the Royal Golf Club. His Highness qualified for the final round, scheduled for Saturday, following his participation in the second day’s competitions, which witnessed strong competition among the players. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad affirmed that the championship had witnessed high technical standards and strong competition among participants, reflecting the continued development of golf. His Highness noted that such competitions provide an important opportunity to enhance technical performance, refine players’ skills, and foster a spirit of challenge and competition, thereby contributing to the sport’s continued growth and advancement. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad delivered an impressive performance during the second day’s competitions, securing his qualification for the final round. The final round will take place on Saturday, with strong competition expected among the qualified players as they vie for the leading positions and the titles of the eighth edition. The championship features more than 100 players from the Kingdom of Bahrain and all other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, alongside players from the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Lebanese Republic, and a number of foreign residents in the Kingdom.more

On the occasion, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad praised the high standard of organisation, commending the efforts of the Bahrain Golf Association in organising the championship. His Highness affirmed that the championship provides an important opportunity for players to gain further experience and develop their technical skills through competition with leading participants from various countries. His Highness highlighted the importance of the championship in advancing golf, expanding its base of participants, and strengthening its presence at the local and international levels. His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad delivered an impressive performance during his participation in the championship, amid an atmosphere of strong competition among the players. The championship features more than 100 players from the Kingdom of Bahrain and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, alongside players from the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Lebanese Republic, and a number of residents in the Kingdom. The championship features 18-hole play, with qualifying rounds taking place on Thursday and Friday ahead of the final round scheduled for Saturday. Strong competition is expected as players vie for the top positions and titles of the eighth edition.more
His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, attended the opening of the 2026/2027 endurance racing season, which featured international and local qualifying races at the Bahrain International Endurance Village, with wide participation from riders. The opening of the season was also attended by His Highness Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Supreme Council for Environment, Deputy Chairman of the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club High Committee, and Member of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Humood Al Khalifa, Capital Governor. His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa praised the strong participation of riders from various stables in the opening of the endurance season, affirming that the large turnout signals a season of strong competition among participants and reflects the continued development of endurance sports in Bahrain. His Highness commended the significant efforts of all organising committees in ensuring the successful opening of the season and their commitment to providing all the necessary conditions for participants, wishing everyone success in the upcoming races. The opening of the endurance season featured a 120 km international qualifying race, a 100 km international qualifying race, a 100 km international qualifying race for juniors and young riders, in addition to two local qualifying races covering distances of 80 km and 40 km.more

His Highness explained that the royal address reflected His Majesty the King’s wisdom in leading the Kingdom of Bahrain, consolidating its principles and safeguarding its achievements. His Highness noted that the visions and directives contained in the address embody a royal approach that transforms loyalty to historical roots into a driving force for the future, adding that the unity between the leadership and the people is a solid foundation to continue national development. His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty’s Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of Bapco Energies, chaired the Group’s Board of Directors meeting for the third quarter of 2026. At the outset, His Highness expressed his appreciation for the recent visit of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to Bapco Refining, noting His Royal Highness’s continued support for the Kingdom’s energy sector and recognition of the efforts of employees across the Group. The Board reviewed the Group’s business recovery following the regional conflict, including the normalization of operations across its businesses and measures taken to maintain operational reliability and continuity. The Board also reviewed Bapco Energies’ financial and operational performance for the third quarter of 2026, including the latest quarterly financial results, alongside updates on key projects and initiatives across the Group. Mr. Mark Thomas, Group Chief Executive Officer, presented an executive update covering business performance, operational priorities, and developments across the Group, as well as progress against priorities for the remainder of the year. The Board concluded its discussions by emphasizing the importance of maintaining safe, reliable, and efficient operations while continuing to support the Kingdom’s energy requirements and economic development.more
His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty’s Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the historic achievement by Bahrain’s handball team, which won the gold medal for the first time in its history at the 20th Asian Games held in Aichi–Nagoya, Japan, following its victory over its Qatari counterparts in the final. His Highness praised the considerable efforts made by His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the General Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, as well as his ongoing support of national teams. His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa also commended the role played by the Bahrain Handball Federation, chaired by Ali Isa Is'haqi, in preparing the national team and creating the right conditions for them, while also appreciating the contributions of everyone who played a part in achieving this victory. His Highness affirmed that the members of the national team had risen to the occasion, setting an exemplary standard of determination, resolve and fighting spirit, and stressed that their outstanding performance led Bahraini handball to the top of the Asian podium and written a new chapter in its record of achievements.more
Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander received Lieutenant General Zac Stenning, British Land Forces Commander, in the presence of Shaikh Khalid bin Ali bin Jaber Al Khalifa, Deputy National Security Advisor. His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa welcomed Lieutenant General Zac Stenning, affirming the depth of the historic and close ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom, and their solid foundations of cooperation and partnership. His Highness noted the importance of continuing to build on the advanced cooperation achieved between the two countries, in a manner that serves their shared interests and aspirations. The meeting also reviewed existing avenues of cooperation and coordination between the Kingdoms, as well as ways to strengthen and develop them, and discussed a number of topics and issues of mutual interest, along with efforts to consolidate the foundations of security, stability and peace in the region.more
His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty’s Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and Captain of the Royal Endurance Team participated in the Qatar International 160 km Endurance Race, which saw a number of riders compete. Present were, His Highness Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Supreme Council for Environment, Deputy Chairman of the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club High Committee, and Member of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and Mohammed bin Ali Al Ghatam, Bahrain’s Ambassador to Qatar. His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa met with Shaikh Nawaf bin Nasser Al Thani, Board member of the Qatari Businessmen Association and owner of Al Nasser Stables. His Highness also received a commemorative gift from Shaikh Mohammed bin Nawaf Al Thani, Chairman of the Qatar Endurance Racing Club. His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa affirmed the Royal Endurance Team’s commitment to participating in the Qatar International Endurance Race as part of its approved programme, and to fulfilling the necessary qualifying requirements for the upcoming World Endurance Championship, which will be held in the United Arab Emirates. His Highness noted that such participations enhance the readiness of the Royal Endurance Team’s riders and horses, and assess their technical levels ahead of upcoming events. His Highness pointed out that the team positively benefitted from this participation, and expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the race’s organising committee and its commitment to creating the ideal atmosphere for all participants.more
Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander, received Michael Dimino IV, US Deputy Assistant Secretary of War for Near East and Central Asia, in the presence of Shaikh Khalid bin Ali bin Jaber Al Khalifa, Deputy National Security Advisor. At the beginning of the meeting, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa welcomed Michael Dimino IV, praising the strong ties and close strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States of America, as well as the ongoing development in various fields. His Highness emphasised the importance of the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA) in strengthening cooperation and integration between the two friendly nations, which serves mutual interests and supports security, stability and prosperity in the region. During the meeting, a number of topics of mutual interest were reviewed, and ways to further strengthen cooperation and coordination between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States of America were discussed, alongside an exchange of views on regional issues and developments, and efforts aimed at enhancing security and stability in the region.more
