His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport and President of Bahrain Athletics Association has congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa the Prime Minister and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, on the occasion of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee and leader of the Bahrain Endurance (13) Team winning the first place in the IRONMAN 70.3 Middle East Championship Bahrain for amateurs and military men, and His Highness's qualifying to participate in the 2018 World Triathlon Championship in Hawaii. HH Shaikh Khalid said: "We are proud of this unprecedented and honorable result achieved by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa in this race, which is an added achievement to the records of His Highness in various sport competitions at the continental and international championships level. It is also an added achievement to the Kingdom of Bahrain, strengthening the prestigious position held by the Kingdom in sports in general and this one in particular. His Highness added: "We praise the honorable level presented by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa during the course of the race, which he succeeded in finishing in a well-deserved manner, and achieving a new record, thus surpassing the (2000) participants in this race varying between amateurs and professionals of his age group". HH Shaikh Khalid pointed out that this result was only achieved by the strong preparation and focus of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa for the race, and His Highness's knowledge of the strength of the race, which led him to distribute his physical effort in the stages of the competitions, thus resulting in his success. He also pointed out that this achievement proves to all the strong will, stamina, and commitment achieved by His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, who is a model of a successful athlete achieving remarkable success stories in this challenge while heading towards achieving his desired goal.more
His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, inaugurated the Hamad Town Model Youth Centre which was implemented by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs, in the presence of Hisham Bin Mohammed Al-Jowder, Minister of Youth and Sports Affairs, and a number of officials, members of the Shura Council, MPs, governors and invitees. His Highness unveiled the memorial plaque to mark the official opening of the Hamad Town Model Youth Centre, built under the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to build four model youth centres in the Kingdom's governorates. HH Shaikh Nasser said that the Hamad Town Model Youth Centre is part of a package of projects adopted by Bahrain to develop the infrastructure of the youth and sports movement, in addition to achieving the sustainable development goals adopted by the UN. "The Centre realises a set of objectives including the achievement of gender equality through the inclusion of special facilities for girls in accordance with the customs of the Bahraini community, through which they can practice various programmes in line with their preferences and hobbies," HH Shaikh Nasser said. "The Centre also uses clean energy through eco-friendly building materials and efficient use of energy and technology, to encourage investment in energy infrastructure and clean energy technology. Furthermore, the Centre also fulfils the goal of sustainable cities and communities, promoting modern urbanisation and city management in addition to the provision of green spaces." His Highness further added: "The Supreme Council for Youth and Sports has prioritised the issue of upgrading Youth centres, in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, to include youth in the development process taking place in the Kingdom." HH Shaikh Nasser pointed out that the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports has built an integrated system of modern facilities capable of embracing Bahraini youth, praising the efforts exerted by Al-Jowder and all the Ministry of Youth and Sports personnel, which followed the stages of implementation of the project and saw its completion in all aspects for Bahraini youth. Al-Jowder said that the Hamad Town Model Youth Centre is the second in a series of model youth centres implemented by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in accordance with the directives of His Majesty the King. The minister expressed his thanks and appreciation to HH Shaikh Nasser for his continuous and direct follow-up with the implementation of the important youth project, which confirms his keenness to support youth centres as a primary destination for youth. HM the King’s Representative for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sport Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, has valued highly the tremendous efforts being exerted to enhance relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait. While receiving Bahrain’s Ambassador to Kuwait, Shaikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HH Shaikh Nasser stressed the depth of the long-standing brotherly Bahraini-Kuwaiti relations. HH Shaikh Nasser lauded the effective contribution of the ambassador to the "This Is Bahrain" event in Los Angeles, through his speech in which he stressed the values of tolerance and fraternity adopted by the Bahraini people’s various segments and religions. The ambassador expressed deepest and appreciation to HH Shaikh Nasser for the major and effective role he is playing to bolster relations with brotherly Kuwait. His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, conveyed the greetings and congratulations of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the Educational and Administrative Board of Al-Iman School, on their victory in the Arab Reading Challenge, held under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai. HH Shaikh Nasser praised the unprecedented achievement of Al-Iman School in the Arab Reading Challenge 2017, having surpassed 41,000 schools in the Arab world, elevating Bahrain's name among countries developed in the field of education. This came during His Highness’ visit to Al-Iman School, Girls Section, where he was welcomed by a number of officials from the Ministry of Education, Chairman and members of the Executive Committee of the School’s Board of Trustees, members of the educational and administrative staff and a number of students. His Highness expressed his great happiness for the school’s success in this great Arab forum, which was the result of constant endeavours by members of the school faculty, stating that this reflected on the advanced levels demonstrated by the school’s female students who participated in the Arab Reading Challenge. During the ceremony hosted by the school, His Highness said: "We are proud of this amazing educational feat, and are delighted to share your joy in winning, knowing the value of achieving victory." HH Shaikh Nasser presented the Chechen President with a commemorative gift marking the occasion, expressing to him good wishes of abundant health and happiness and further progress and prosperity to the Chechen people. President of Chechen Ramzan Akhmadovich Kadyrov hailed the visit of Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa to Chechen, lauding its positive impact on fostering relations between the two friendly countries. In a statement marking departure of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa after an official visit to Chechen, the Chechen President praised HH Shaikh Nasser’s good personality and strong patriotism, adding that he has known him for a long time at a distance. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative to HM the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, has attended a lunch banquet hosted by Chechen President Ramzan Akhmadovich Kadyrov at the Presidential Palace. HH Shaikh Nasser and the Chechen President held friendship talks before the luncheon. HH Shaikh Nasser praised the friendship relations between the two countries, highlighted Bahrain’s keenness, led by HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, on boosting them in various fields. He stressed the visit will contribute to boosting the bilateral relations in the interest of both countries’ interest. Ministers and officials were also present.more
Bahrain Weightlifting & Bodybuilding Federation (BWF)’s board of directors has congratulated Royal Guard Commander Staff Brigadier HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa the representative of HM the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, on HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s issuance of Royal Order appointing His Highness a Member of the Supreme Defence Council, wishing him success. The federation directors affirmed that His Highness is capable of translating the Royal trust in the achievement of the Supreme Defence Council’s strategic goals in view of His Highness’s leadership capabilities and faithful youth spirit in serving the Kingdom in all fields under the wise leadership.more
His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Royal Charity Organisation, visited the Museum of Tolerance at the Simon Wiesenthal Centre in Los Angeles, California, before the inauguration of the Bahrain Declaration and the King Hamad Global Centre for Interfaith Dialogue and Peaceful Coexistence. A number of American students had a direct meeting with His Highness Shaikh Nasser at the museum. His Highness allowed for open discussion of youth's ideas and aspirations regarding common ambitions to achieve intellectual convergence. They also discussed the contributions of the new generation in forming visions, building bridges of peace and tolerance and accepting other cultures and religions. This stemmed from His Highness’ conviction that direct communication with youth is the most successful way to find common ground. His Highness stressed that peace and tolerance are not merely slogans, but are parts of our lifestyles as Bahrainis, which we have practiced for centuries and wish to extend to the world. His Highness added, "If there is darkness in some part of this world, the coming one will be more beautiful in light of peace, love and coexistence. We are all part of one world." His Highness toured sections of the Museum of Tolerance which innovatively presented historical documents pertaining to religious tolerance, making the museum a unique piece of art, which His Highness commended.more
HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Chairman of Bahrain Basketball Association (BBA), has welcomed Tawfiq Al Salehi, Chief Editor of "Al Mayadeen" magazine, Nasser Shahroor, Consultant of the Magazine and Cherian Mathews, President of the Company assigned to oversee "Al Mayadeen" magazine. During the meeting, HH Shaikh Isa received the 22nd edition of the magazine from Al Salehi, who extended to HH the greetings of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee. The cover page of the Magazine features a portrait of HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, while its inside pages include an exclusive interview with His Highness who shed light on various issues, including the basketball sport in the Kingdom of Bahrain and relative development plans as well as HH's social and volunteer initiatives. On this occasion, HH Shaikh Isa praised the efforts being produced by HH Shaikh Nasser towards upgrading sport, youth, humanitarian and media sectors in the Kingdom of Bahrain in line with the country's wise leadership's vision.
