A tribute was paid to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, who paid homage to late Shaikh Isa bin Rashid Al-Khalifa, in recognition of his years-long dedication in serving the Kingdom Bahrain. HM the King had directed his Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, National Security Advisor and Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) Chairman His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa to rename three sports arenas located at the Isa Sports City after the sports icon. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa commended the royal directives, expressing pride in HM the King’s care and support to sports and youth sectors, which earned Bahrain landmark achievements and place the Kingdom on regional, continental and international maps. He lauded the royal keenness on commemorating the memory of iconic personalities who served sports and youth in Bahrain with great devotion and laid the first foundations from national sports achievements. He paid homage to late Shaikh Isa bin Rashid Al-Khalifa who spared no efforts to develop sports in the Kingdom of Bahrain and contributed to laying the pioneering foundations. He saluted the memory of the man who served youth and sports in Bahrain, the Arabian Gulf, the Arab region, Asia and the world, describing HM the King’s directices as a royal recognition of his lifelong and prolific contributions, which will remain engrave in the historical annals. more
Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, National Security Advisor and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa inaugurated “Al-Sariya” popular quiz show through a telephone call made to launch the programme. The daily programme, sponsored by Bahrain Telecommunication Company (Batelco), is broadcast on Bahrain TV at 10:30 pm from the Heritage Village in Ras Hayan. It is held in partnership between SCYS’ Popular Heritage Sport Committee and the Information Ministry. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa conveyed over the phone call with which he launched the programnme the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, stressing HM’s keenness on following the TV quiz show. He congratulated the officials in charge of the programme on the holy month of Ramadan, pointing out the importance of the programme in highlighting the kingdom’s identity and history.more
His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, National Security Advisor and Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) Chairman His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa issued an edict setting up the Traditional Sports Committee (Mawrooth). The newly-established panel will be affiliated with the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Affairs (SCYS) and subject to its supervision and control. The edict stipulates the appointment of Khalifa bin Abdulla Al-Qaoud and Ali Mohammed Fadhel as chairman and vice chairman of the committee which includes as members Ahmed Khalid Khalfa, Mohammed Ahmed Al-Janahi, Abdulaziz Mohammed Al-Romaihi, Nader bin Jakhir Al-Arjani, Mohammed Ayedh Al-Merri, Rashid Dheyab Al-Romaihi and Khalifa Abdulaziz Al-Kaabi. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa directed the committee to conserve Bahraini folk heritage and tradition sports, transmit the legacy down generations, strengthen its values within society and promote this longstanding heritage locally, regionally and internationally.more
His Majesty’s Representative for Charity Works and Youth Affairs and Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) Board of Trustees Chairman His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa paid tribute to HM King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, RHF Honorary President, hailing royal care for orphans in the Kingdom of Bahrain. He commended the leadership of HM the King and royal keenness on providing all services to citizens, with the support of the Government, chaired by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa, backed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa paid tribute to HM King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa made the statement marking the Arab Orphans’ Day which falls annually on the first Friday in the month of April. He said that the support provide to orphans represents a one of the pillars of the reform project led by HM the King, stressing the importance of this category in building societies. He stressed RHF keenness on following-up its affiliates’ health and education and providing them all care and services in order to develop their personalities, ensuring them decent living conditions along with their families and building an educated generation. RHF Secretary-General Dr. Mustapha Al-Sayyed extended deepest thanks to HM the King and hailed the royal care for orphans in Bahrain, commended the Government’s Support. He paid tribute to the icon of national sport, hailing his lifetime prolific march to serve the Kingdom of Bahrain in all fields and contributions in laying the foundations for the sectors of youth and sports. He paid homage to the deceased who devoted his life to serving his country, hailing his pivotal role as head of the General Organization for Youth and Sports and Bahrain Olympic Committee, in addition to his regional and continental positions. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa prayed to Allah the Almighty to rest the rest the soul of the deceased in eternal peace and give his family solace and fortitude.more
